The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Metroplex Region accounts for approximately 24% of all postsecondary credentials in Texas at the certificate, associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degree levels.

The growth in the number of yearly credentials from Dallas College follows a similar trend as the growth in postsecondary attainment in Texas. The annual number of awards conferred more than doubled between 2009 and 2020. To help address the COVID-related drop in credentials conferred throughout higher ed, Dallas College is engaged in ongoing research on the value of its programs and the ways in which they meet the rapidly changing needs of our community.
