DESCRIPTION:Join us for an interdisciplinary celebration of remembrance, culture, and community that brings together students, faculty, local artists, and community members through art, performance, and shared experiences. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a student art gallery featuring work created in participating classes, enjoy live dance performances, and participate in hands-on workshops inspired by Día de los Muertos traditions. Activities throughout the event include visual art workshops, bookmark-making, calavera-inspired makeup demonstrations, dance workshops, cultural learning experiences, and opportunities to reflect on traditions that honor and remember loved ones. Featured performances by the Eastfield Dance Company and the Texas Woman's University International Dance Company highlight the role of movement, storytelling, and cultural expression in preserving memory and heritage. The celebration takes place at the Dallas College Eastfield Campus, The Hive and Lower Courtyard, creating an interactive environment where guests can engage with art, music, food, dance, and cultural traditions in meaningful ways. Whether attending a workshop, viewing artwork, or enjoying a performance, participants are invited to learn about the significance of Día de los Muertos and the enduring connections between memory, community, and culture. Location: Dallas College Eastfield Campus, The Hive and Lower Courtyard (Building C)168594
