Patricia Corbett worked in private industry as an executive secretary from 1957 until she arrived at North Lake College in 1981. She served as Executive Secretary and Administrative Assistant to the first four presidents of the college. During this time the college grew substantially, and Patricia is especially proud that she recruited at least one new student each semester. In addition to her job responsibilities, Patricia served as a student advocate, instituted and chaired the Service Excellence committee, coordinated too many special events to list, and directed the 20-year exchange program with a technical school in Germany. Retired in 2009, she continues to serve as a volunteer for her church and community, while spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren.
