For a group of 10 Dallas College students, a week in London this May was far more than a study abroad experience. It was a hands-on introduction to future careers in law, politics and criminal justice.

On June 18, Geoff Tchon and 13 classmates became the first-ever graduates of the Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) program. At least nine graduates secured employment before crossing the stage, highlighting the region's urgent need for skilled aviation talent.

From May 21-31, 23 Dallas College students traded their everyday routines for an immersive, unforgettable experience in Japan.

Graduation week at Dallas College wasn’t just a milestone, it was a moment filled with pride, reflection and excitement for what’s next. Bachelor’s degree graduates in nursing and education gathered to celebrate the journeys that brought them here and the futures they’re ready to shape.

On Friday, May 9, Dallas College game design students hit the next level, trading solo play for multiplayer networking at a lively mixer on the Richland Campus. The event combined student-built games with real-world connections to industry pros.

Dallas College serves many nontraditional students who balance full-time jobs, family responsibilities or both, while working toward their next chapter. Their resilience keeps them moving forward. This spring, many are celebrating major milestones, completing their studies and launching new careers.

As graduation approaches, many college students are reflecting on where they started and where they are headed next. For transfer students like Jaqueline Villalobos Torres and Tanim Azad, their time at Dallas College has been about more than earning credits. It’s been about growth, leadership and discovering new possibilities.

April’s Arts Month shines a spotlight on the creative talent emerging from Dallas College. Thanks to partnerships with venues and galleries across the city, students in the Dallas College School of Creative Arts, Entertainment and Design gain real-world experience and professional exposure. When Yarumi Leon transferred to Texas Woman’s University this fall to study social work, she was in good company. More than half of TWU’s transfer students come from Dallas College. SirMark Gentry transferred to West Texas A&M University after discovering their electrical engineering program fit his lifestyle and goals. Both were helped along their journey by Dallas College Transfer Services.
