On May 19-22, Dallas College students stepped beyond their campuses and into the pine-lined setting of Camp Cho-Yeh at Carolina Creek in Huntsville for the annual Summer Student Leadership Retreat. Centered on the ongoing theme of “Soar Beyond Limits: Where Resilient Leaders Take Flight,” the experience blended leadership development, outdoor adventure and meaningful connection.

Imagine watching your work projected on the big screen at a historic theater surrounded by friends, family and a cheering audience. That’s exactly what video technology students experience each spring at the Student Video Showcase. This year’s event took place at the historic Texas Theatre, May 19, 6:30-10 p.m. All are welcome at the free annual event.

February is Black History Month, and we’ll be celebrating with events all month long. Dallas College welcomes all students, faculty and staff to attend the “I AM Black History” Summit, participate in our Intercultural Career Day, or stop by our cultural celebration and HBCU Transfer Fair.

On Friday, Nov. 14, Dallas College science major and work-study student Andrew Prichard didn't just attend the Student Leadership Institute Fall Leadership Conference — he went full-on content creator, stepping way out of his comfort zone. His mission: takeover the official @DallasCollegeStudents Instagram account, where he dropped exclusive, behind-the-scenes content for followers throughout the day.
