Self and Peer Assessments
Self and peer assessments are used to review your own work as well as the work of fellow students. Assessments are criteria-based to ensure students receive constructive feedback from multiple individuals, enhancing the comprehension of the subject material.

Follow these steps to complete a Self Assessment:
Step 1:
Locate the Self-Assessment in the course and select View/Complete Assessment.
Along with the instructions for the assessment, there are two dates: one for submission and one for evaluation.
Step 2:
On the Take Assessment page, select a question link.
Step 3:
To answer the question either:
Type your response in the textbox;
OR
Attach one or more files from your computer. To upload the file, choose Browse My Computer and double-click the file to upload it.
If you need to remove file, select Do not attach.
Step 4:
Select Next to go to the next question.
Step 5:
Repeat these steps until all the questions are answered. Then select Submit.
Follow these steps to submit a Peer Assessment:
Step 1:
Locate the Peer Assessment in the course and select View/Complete Assessment.
Step 2:
On the Evaluation Overview page, select from the list of participants to start an evaluation.
Step 3:
On the Evaluations page:
- 1. Review the text in the Submission box.
If the instructor has provided an example of an evaluation, it will appear in Model Response.
- 2. Review attached files.
3. Provide feedback, if requested.
4. Type the number of points for each criterion;
OR
Select the Allocate Points check box.
5. Select Save and Next Question.
Step 4:
Select Save and Submit to finish the evaluation.
On the Evaluations page, the total points allocated and the status are updated.
Note:
The evaluation can still be revised until the End Date.
Step 5:
To exit Evaluations, select OK.
