is the MAC Baseball Player of the Week. The sophomore shortstop from Plano, Texas, hit .454 for the week with a double, triple, home run, eight RBIs, three runs scored, a walk and a stolen base.

catcher from Prosper, Texas, hit .631 for the week with two doubles, 11

sophomore third baseman from Garland, Texas, hit .558 for the week
with a triple, home run, nine RBIs, six runs scored and four walks.

sophomore right fielder from Mesquite, Texas, hit .375 for the week
with three doubles, one home run, four RBIs and three runs scored.

NJCAA DIII Region V MAC Pitcher of the Week, March 21–27:Blake Barr
is the MAC Pitcher of the Week. The sophomore
right-hander from Midlothian, Texas, pitched seven innings and
allowed no earned runs and just two hits with 12 strikeouts and three
walks in a complete-game win over Brookhaven.

is the MAC Position Player of the Week. The sophomore right fielder from Mesquite, Texas, had a .538 batting average for the week with a double, a home run, three RBIs, four runs scored and two walks.Evan Rogers
is the MAC Pitcher of the Week. The sophomore
from Garland, Texas, had a record of 1-0 for the week. In his
one appearance, he allowed just one earned run on eight hits
with five strikeouts and a walk.
Jason Serchay NLI
Eastfield would like to give a big congratulations to our outfielder, Jason Serchay, for signing his national letter of intent with the University of Texas at San Antonio. Jason was an All-American for us last year and an NJCAA All-Star this fall. Congratulations, Jason!
Players Participate in Baseball All-Star Game
Four Eastfield Harvesters participated in the Texas/New Mexico NJCAA All-Star game this past weekend at Dell Diamond Park in Round Rock, Texas: Cody Duplechin, Jason Serchay, Tanner Dickerson and Mason Arasato.
These four players were a combined seven for 13 on the weekend with one home run, four runs scored and three RBIs. We are very proud of these young men for their hard work both on and off the field.
Eastfield Baseball All-Americans
Congrats to Eastfield Baseball player Jason Serchay for being named to the NJCAA All-American First Team and to Matias Terrones for being named to the NJCAA All-American Third Team for the 2014 season.
The following members of the Eastfield Baseball team were selected to this year’s Texas/New Mexico Junior College Baseball Coaches Association All Star team: Taylor Empkey, catcher; Gavin Gregory and Josh Leonhardt, outfielders; and Will Birge and Weston Sims, pitchers. These players will be participating in the All Star Game, which will be held the weekend of Sept. 27 at Lagrave Field in Fort Worth, Texas.
Three Eastfield Baseball Players Named 2013 NJCAA All-Americans
Congrats to Eastfield Baseball players Matthew Hexter and John Sims for being selected to the NJCAA All-American Second Team and to Miguel Saavedra for being selected to the NJCAA All-American Third Team for the 2013 baseball season.

Eastfield Wins Third Consecutive Conference Championship
Congratulations to the Eastfield Harvesters on becoming MAC Conference champions for the third consecutive year. The Harvesters will be the No. 1 seed in the NJCAA District C Tournament. The tournament begins on May 11 at Mike Carter Field in Tyler, Texas. Eastfield will play at 6 p.m.
Harvester Hurls No-Hitter
Eastfield Baseball player and University of Houston signee Dylan Rucker pitched a no-hitter versus Cedar Valley in the first seven-inning game of a double header on Feb. 25, 2012.
Harvesters Ranked No. 1 in the National NJCAA Preseason Poll
The Eastfield Harvesters are ranked at the top of the national NJCAA preseason poll. The defending National Champions start the season this Saturday at Eastfield at 12 p.m. versus Ranger College.
Baseball Team Receiving Championship Rings
The Eastfield Harvesters, who won the NJCAA 2011 National Championship earlier this year, received their championship rings on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 1 p.m. in P-210.
Eastfield President Dr. Jean Conway, other members of the Eastfield leadership team, baseball coach Michael Martin, athletic director Anthony Fletcher and Eastfield faculty and staff were on hand for the event.
Michael Martin Named Coach of the Year
Congratulations to Coach Michael Martin, the American Baseball Coaches Association/Diamond Sports Company NJCAA Division III National Coach of the Year!
Coach Martin led the Harvesters to the NJCAA Division III National Championship in late May and is now being recognized for his coaching accomplishments and his team's success. At the ABCA National Convention in Anaheim, California, held January 5–8, 2012, Martin will be acknowledged at the Hall of Fame/Coach of the Year Banquet.
Eastfield Wins National Championship
The Eastfield Harvesters defeated Gloucester 8-4 to win their third National Championship! This is only the second time in the history of the tournament that a team has lost their first game and come back to win the championship.

Eastfield to Play for National Title
Eastfield defeated Gloucester 15-2 and earned the opportunity to play them again in the final game of the tournament. The final game will be Thursday, May 26, at 7 p.m.
Eastfield Still Alive in National Tournament
After losing in the first round, Eastfield has come back and won their next five games. Here are the results of Eastfield's games in the tournament:
Game Three: Manchester over Eastfield, 11-9
Game Six: Eastfield over Rochester, 13-5 (seven innings)
Game Nine: Eastfield over Joliet, 5-3
Game 12: Eastfield over Erie, 3-1
Game 13: Eastfield over Manchester, 6-3
The Harvesters play Gloucester on Wednesday, May 25, at 7 p.m.
Harvesters win District C Tournament, Advance to Nationals
Congratulations to Coach Martin and the Harvesters for clinching the NJCAA Division III District C Championship title. The Harvesters will move on to the National Championship to be played in Tyler, Texas, on May 21–26! Eastfield plays its first game against Manchester Community College at 4 p.m. this Saturday!
Harvesters Repeat as Conference Champs
Congratulations to the Eastfield Harvesters on becoming MAC Conference champions for the second consecutive year. The Harvesters will be the No. 1 seed in the NJCAA District C Tournament. The tournament begins on May 13th at Gabe Nesbitt Field at Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas. Eastfield will play at 6 p.m.
Harvesters Ranked No. 8 in the Nation in Preseason Poll
Congratulations to the Harvesters for being ranked No. eight in the nation in the NJCAA preseason poll.
Eastfield Sluggers Sign with DI & DII Schools
(June 2006) Eastfield College Head Baseball Coach Michael Martin announced recently that four of his players have signed scholarship agreements with National Collegiate Athletic Association schools. Four sophomore players — Blake Gerken, Ronny Hawley, Clifton Sheffield and Ryan Weber — announced their intentions, and all have formally signed NCAA national letters of intent.
Blake Gerken, of Richmond, Texas, chose the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas, where he will be a left-handed pitcher for the Bears. UCA, under head coach Doug Clark, went 30-18 this season and qualified for the Gulf South Conference Tournament.
Garland, Texas, native Ronny Hawley will be an infielder for Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi. The Statesmen, members of the Division II Gulf South Conference, were 37-17 this season under head coach Mike Kinnison.
Clifton Sheffield, of Arlington, Texas, signed with Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas. Sheffield will play outfielder for the Muleriders under coach Allen Gum. The Muleriders finished the 2006 season at 40-18.
Ryan Weber, of Cypress, Texas, has opted to play infielder for the Temple University Owls in Philadelphia. A. Rob Valli, head coach, led the Owls to a 12-41 record in the 2006 season. Temple is a member of the Division I Atlantic 10 Conference.
“We’re excited about the opportunities these players have to continue their education and play baseball,” said Coach Michael Martin. “I think that these players will successfully transition to the next level of their college careers and will have a significant impact on their new teams. We look forward to following their progress in the next two years and wish them good luck.”
