Interested in designing apps for an iPhone?

Swift is Apple’s open-source programming language for
building amazing apps for iOS, Mac and Apple Watch.

Mountain View College is hosting a two-week youth drone and coding camp for only $250!

The camp is available for ages 7-13.

In this introductory camp, we’ll first spend some time in Swift Playgrounds, solving a series of increasingly challenging puzzles to learn fundamental concepts like commands, functions, loops and conditionals. Is your code not working the way you think it should? No problem – we’ll also learn how to debug our code, to identify and fix an error.

As we master the fundamentals, we’ll apply our skills and use Swift to program Dash and Sphero robots to complete a series of fun challenges. After the camp, continue to hone your programming skills using Apple’s free resources for iPad. No previous programming experience is required for this camp.

Each camper will have use of an Apple iPad and two campers will be assigned to each drone.

Final Project: A portfolio of successfully completed Swift Playgrounds and Drone Operation Challenge

Who Should Participate?

We're looking for campers who want to learn serious code in a seriously fun way.
