September 17, 2001
During times of trial, Americans find a variety of ways to show their personal strength, dedication and patriotism. The events of Tuesday, September 11, 2001, have become part of this country’s history.
Members of the Dallas County Community College District — students, faculty, staff, administrators and friends — mourn the loss of life suffered by Americans in New York, Washington, D.C., and other parts of the United States. A number of activities are scheduled during the week of September 17 to honor the memory of those who died; to honor the courage of those who survived; and to honor those who have saved others and seek to recover the lost.
All members of the district’s community, as well as the general public, are invited to attend these events and to share their support for the fallen, the lost and the survivors. Please check the list, choose a program and pay tribute during this time of loss.
