News brief
(DALLAS) — The El Centro College downtown campus, site of the deadly July 7 Dallas shootings, will re-open this week. Faculty and staff will return to the campus on Wednesday, July 20, and students will return on Thursday, July 21.
The re-opening includes El Centro College Downtown (Buildings A, B and C) and the Wellness Center. Parts of Building C on the second level will not be accessible for the foreseeable future. The college’s Paramount Building, R Building, 701 parking area and One Main opened last week, and they continue to operate under normal business hours, along with the Bill J. Priest and West campuses.
When students return to the downtown campus on Thursday, they will resume courses in their original classrooms unless otherwise notified by a dean or instructor.
Repairs are underway.
