Bob Mackie, Fashion Group International (FGI) Awardee, will be visiting the El Centro College Fashion department on Thursday, November 14, at 1:30 p.m. to tour the facility and conduct a forum with students in Room M1029 (10th Floor of One Main).
Students will prepare for the event by engaging in activities that will provide knowledge of Bob Mackie and his career. Faculty and students will “dress” the 11th floor fashion area with work highlighting the talent and creativity of our students – past and present.. The faculty will be working to create ‘Mackie-like’ art that will be made into greeting cards and given to Mr.Mackie as a thank you gift.
About Bob Mackie:
Bob Mackie is an internationally renowned costume and fashion designer who has dressed some of the most glamorous entertainment icons in the world. With a career spanning five decades, nine Emmy Award wins, three Academy Award nominations, and an induction into the Television Academy Hall of Fame, Bob Mackie's career is nothing short of legendary. Most recently, he received a 2019 Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, and Outer Critics Circle Award for his work on The Cher Show.
