(DALLAS) — Parents who need a little help with summertime fun for their children can find solutions at several campuses in the Dallas County Community College District. From music to mathematics, art to drama, computers to cooking — and more — check out offerings at Brookhaven, Cedar Valley, Eastfield, El Centro and Mountain View colleges below.

Brookhaven College

The Arts Academy at Brookhaven College has new “Piano Fun!” courses for tykes ages 4 and 5, plus 6 and 7, starting in early June, as well as level-two courses for youngsters who are continuing in “Piano Fun!” This new course is designed specifically for a child and an adult to attend class together in BHC’s state-of-the-art keyboard lab. Cedar Valley College

Cedar Valley College is offering kids several great reasons to get off the couch this summer and get into the classroom — whether it’s a stage, a kitchen or a computer lab! A full schedule of innovative classes will focus young minds on learning and having fun at the same time. Courses, which are scheduled in July, include:

  • “Computer Gaming Graphics” for fifth- through eighth-grade students
  • “Young Chefs: Cooking and Nutrition” for third- through eighth-grade students
  • “Science/Biology” for fifth- through eighth-grade students
  • “Drama Camp” for third- through eighth-grade participants
  • “Write It and Read It!” for children in grades three through eight
