(DALLAS) — The future is here, and members of the Dallas County Community College District board of trustees want to know more abut the needs and ideas of Dallas County residents who support DCCCD’s colleges throughout the county. Those ideas and needs will become part of the district’s plan of action for the future, and input from area residents is critical to DCCCD’s success.

Members of the DCCCD board of trustees — as well as Chancellor Bill Wenrich, students and employees — invite city and county residents to share their questions, thoughts and needs during several community forums scheduled in March, April and May. During each meeting, trustees will share some plans for the district, and they also will participate in a question-and-answer session with those who attend. Free parking will be provided, and refreshments will be offered following each program.

Each meeting will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Dates and locations are: Tues., March 27, 2001 — Eastfield College; Tues., April 17, 2001 — Brookhaven College; Thurs., April 26, 2001 — Cedar Valley College; and Tues., May 15, 2001 — Mountain View College.

“Residents of Dallas County are encouraged to attend and help DCCCD plan for the future,” said Wenrich. “We depend on people who are or will be our students to tell us what they need for their academic and professional careers. Their participation will help us provide educational programs they need to succeed.”
