Tony and Lauren Dungy’s latest book explores the belief that anything is possible when people — especially children — dream big.
For immediate release — Jan. 27, 2011
(DALLAS) — Super couple Tony and Lauren Dungy have shared many experiences during their marriage, from a Super Bowl championship several years ago to the publication of their thoughtful, lesson-filled books for children and parents.
Celebrating the release this month of their newest book, “You Can Be a Friend,” the Dungys are featured presenters on Saturday, Feb. 5 (yes ... the day before Super Bowl XLV), during a special BooksmART program presented by the Dallas Museum of Art. The free program will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Dallas, located at 1928 Ross Ave.; the general public is invited to attend. (The event was moved to a larger venue this week, based on popular demand.)
The Dallas County Community College District is a community partner this year with DMA’s Arts and Letters Live series. All DCCCD students and employees who were placed on a waiting list when this event was announced previously will have tickets for the program. Other interested district students, faculty, staff and administrators can contact the DMA for tickets because more seats are available at the new location; call (214) 922-1818 during business hours for tickets.
