STEM Fair Encourages Exploration at Brookhaven College

DALLAS — Explore today’s technologies and the unlimited opportunities of tomorrow with hands-on activities, contests, exhibits and lectures at the Brookhaven College STEM Fair Feb. 18 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. in Building H.

Quick start a budding interest in science, technology, engineering and math with Lego and K’nex design and build contests. Construct your own birdhouse with a free kit for the first 400 attendees.

The event is designed for all ages. Whether you imagine technological possibilities of the future or want to map out career options, the professional STEM lecture series will be informative and entertaining. There is something for everyone – from fossils to forensics and atmosphere to aeronautics.

  • 11 a.m. Geological History of Texas
  • 1 p.m. Forensic Sciences: Past, Present, Future
  • 3 p.m. The Moon, Asteroids, and Mars: the Future of Spaceflight

Check out the clubs and museum exhibits, browse vendor booths and enjoy lunch or a snack at the food trucks. Admission, parking and popcorn are free.

All Scouts in uniform will receive a gift at no cost. Scouts can also earn a patch or rocker.
