Enroll in College With Your Child – for Free
If you’re a parent or guardian of a high school senior from a Dallas County Promise school, you may be eligible to earn a certificate or associate degree at no cost to you!
The Parent Promise scholarship program covers any gap between state and federal aid at Dallas College to make sure your tuition is fully covered. Family income limits may apply.
Choose from 100+ degree or certificate programs, including GED and ESL.

New Parent Promise Students: Eligibility and How to Apply
1. Do you have a student who will be graduating from a Promise High School?
2. Is your family's annual Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) less than $75,000?
If you answered “yes” to each of those questions, you may qualify to become a Parent Promise scholar.
Submit the Parent Promise Path Form by July 1, 2025
Check your email for a message from ParentPromise@DallasCollege.edu, which will include a link to the Parent Path Form. If you can’t find the message or need help, email
ParentPromise@DallasCollege.edu.
Apply to Dallas College by July 1, 2025
Complete the
Dallas College application.
Apply for Financial Aid by July 1, 2025
Complete the 2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid or Texas Application for State Financial Aid.
Register for classes by Aug. 1, 2025
Visit your nearest campus to
meet with a success coach to register for classes and complete the enrollment steps.
Attend Parent Promise Orientation
Summer 2025 (TBA)
Attend mandatory virtual orientation or in-person orientation. Details to come.
The Path Form and applications will open after Sept. 1, 2025, for parents of class of 2026 high school graduates.
