Placement Testing
The Placement Testing Centers located on each campus provide assessment testing to new and current students.
Academic and instructional (classroom) testing is separate from placement testing.
- Placement testing determines your current level of skills and knowledge in English, language arts, reading and math.
- Academic and instructional testing, or classroom testing, administers exams assigned by an instructor.

Types of Assessment Tests
Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment
Hours of Operations
- Monday-Thursday: 8 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Friday: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Saturday-Sunday: Closed
Hours of Assessment
- Monday-Thursday: 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
- The last TSIA2 exam is administered at 3:30 p.m.
- The last ESOL/ESL exam is administered at 3:30 p.m.*
- The Last ESL (non-credit only) exam is administered at 5 p.m. (on Wednesdays only).*
- Friday: 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
- The last TSIA2 exam is administered at 1:30 p.m.
- The last ESL (non-credit only) exam is administered at 3:30 p.m.*
- Saturday-Sunday: Closed
*For ESL/ESOL testing, a referral form from a success coach is required, and you need to arrive 30 minutes before the exam start time listed on the referral form from the success coach
