Vision

We envision a future in Dallas County where all residents in our region, no matter their zip code, can gain the knowledge and skills they need to advance economically and achieve their dreams.

Mission:

We advance economic mobility for students in our community by channeling the power of philanthropy to help Dallas College rise to new heights of innovation, excellence and equity.

Why this vision and mission?

Our vision and mission stem from three deep beliefs:

Dallas College is our region’s greatest economic growth engine. Through deep partnerships with business and our local community, we graduate students who are ready to take on the jobs that our metro area needs to thrive and grow.

Dallas College is our region’s greatest equity engine. All residents in our community, regardless of the neighborhood they’re from or the size of their bank account, should have access to a truly excellent postsecondary education that prepares them for fulfilling, well-paid careers.

For Dallas College to become the most innovative, effective and equitable community college in the nation, philanthropic giving to Dallas College Foundation is essential. Private funding can help us try bold new approaches, go beyond public funding limitations and serve critical student needs to ensure they can graduate and thrive.

If you are ready to change assumptions about what’s possible for public higher education and the students we serve, please join us on our mission.

How do we do it?

Specifically, we help Dallas College to:

Eliminate barriers that prevent students from all backgrounds from attending and graduating

Provide students with an exceptional, nation-leading educational experience.

Connect students to careers that support living wages and wealth creation

Collaboration

In addition to Dallas College Foundation’s college-wide fundraising initiatives led by our Development team and conducted in close coordination with Dallas College’s senior leadership team, in certain circumstances, Dallas College Foundation may also provide support to specific projects that benefit the Dallas College Academic Schools and campus organizations.

To advance these specific projects, we collaborate with campus and school leaders to vet and qualify projects that may be a good fit. At a minimum, projects seeking funding must further the mission of the college and benefit our students, employees or community. To learn more about these opportunities, please contact Jalyn Roberson, Assistant Director of Campus Support, at jroberson@dallascollege.edu.
