Registered Apprenticeship Programs

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​DOL Registered Apprenticeship programs are a minimum of 2000 hours of full-time, paid, on-the-job training and include a minimum of 144 hours of related course instruction.

 
 

Early Childhood Paraprofessional and Early Childhood Educator Apprenticeships​​

These apprenticeships are for future educators who have a passion for working with young children. Designed as an educational and career pathway, students gain knowledge and skills that prepare them for success while filling a critical community need for a skilled workforce. Among the apprenticeship benefits include coursework delivered in a supportive cohort model, paid on-the-job learning and strong mentorship from early childhood experts​​.

 

Health Care Emerging Leader Residency

Apprentices in this mid-level role are responsible for observation, analysis, and participation in all aspects of the health care organization through departmental rotations, attendance in meetings and committees, and specific project assignments. They apply the appropriate academic foundation to the challenges of an integrated health care delivery system through participation, meeting attendance, and diverse project involvement at the division level and throughout appropriate health care facilities.

 

Biomedical Equipment Technician

This apprenticeship programs includes training to repairs, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment and instrumentation used in health-care delivery field: Inspects and installs medical and related technical equipment in medical and research facilities for use by physicians, nurses, scientists, or engineers involved in researching, monitoring, diagnosing, and treating physical ailments or dysfunctions.

 

Clinical Informaticist

This apprenticeship is designed to assist clinicians in keeping up with the latest evidence and research to advance clinical knowledge in the health care field. Apprentices in this role help find new ways for delivery of dynamic services, such as laboratory tests and results, diagnostic radiology, drug dispensing, and more.

 

Registered Nurse Residency

This apprenticeship is designed as a comprehensive series of learning and work experiences to support graduate nurses, as they transition into a professional position in a direct care role as a professional nurse.

 

Patient Care Technician

This apprenticeship prepares patient care Technicians technicians with the knowledge, skills, and abilities essential for the provision of basic care of patients in acute care settings. Emphasis is placed on how to communicate and interact effectively with patients, the health care team, and families based on sensitivity to the psychosocial needs of patients. To provide safety and preventive measures in the care of patients.

 

Certified Medical Office Assistant

This apprenticeship occupation combines medical secretarial skills with study of basic biological principles, public health sciences, and medical office clinical procedures. The apprentice communicates, collects, shar, record and report patient information. They assist medical professionals and patients during exams and carry out basic medical procedures

 

Sterile Processing Technician

The apprenticeship is designed to equip apprentices with the experience, knowledge, and skills necessary to provide competent services as a sterile processing technician. People in this role are integral members of the health care team who are responsible for decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, disassembling, packaging, and sterilizing reusable surgical instruments or devices in a health care facility.

 

MRI Technologist

Apprentices learn to operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners and view images of the anatomy scan to ensure picture quality. Apprentices learn to monitor patient safety and comfort, administer gadolinium contrast dosage intravenously, interview patients, explain MRI procedures, position patients on the exam table, and enter relevant data into the electronic health record system. The credential earned at the culmination of the IRAP is the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT®) Registered MRI Technologist certification.
