“You’re Hired!” — Apprenticeships in Health Care

When you’re ready, you’re ready. Why wait years to gain skills and unleash your potential when you can start now? Become an apprentice to begin the career you’ve always wanted.

Dallas College is leading a project funded by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) creating apprenticeships in health care-related careers. The project has a nationwide scope involving health care employers, apprentices and relevant industry associations. Employers and apprentices have access to robust Industry-Recognized Apprenticeship Programs (IRAPs), DOL Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs) and pre-apprenticeship opportunities. Apprentices earn at least one credential and are employed full time in either clinical or nonclinical roles.

Apprenticeship is an industry-driven, high-quality career pathway where employers develop and prepare their future workforce, while individuals obtain paid work experiences, classroom instruction and portable, nationally recognized credentials.
