Brett Dyer
Senior Director of Gallery and Live Events
Brett Dyer is a compassionate leader who credits art and education with transforming his life. Ever since discovering his own passion, he has dedicated his career to helping others experience the same power of creativity and learning.
Dyer currently serves as senior director of gallery and live events at Dallas College’s School of Creative Arts, Entertainment and Design (CAED). In his role, he oversees strategic vision, staffing, budgeting and programming for galleries, theatres, studios, labs and rehearsal spaces across seven campuses. Under his leadership, his teams produce more than 1,000 performances and exhibitions annually.
His leadership philosophy was shaped by a high school art teacher who saw his potential and helped him believe that college — and a life in the arts — was possible. Today, Dyer takes pride in witnessing the transformative impact of the arts on students and the community.
When he’s not immersed in the performing arts, Dyer creates his own: painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpting, photography, writing poetry and producing art videos. He looks forward to inspiring others to see the world through the lens of an artist.
