Sharon Manna

Dean of Marketable Skills and Digital Badging

Dr. Sharon Manna is a professor-turned-administrator who is passionate about connection and collaboration. A first-generation college student herself, she is driven by one mission: helping students succeed.

Dr. Manna currently serves as the dean of marketable skills and digital badging at Dallas College, where she leads initiatives that bridge academic learning with workforce readiness. Her work includes facilitating the Marketable Skills Faculty Integrator program, creating and deploying the Dallas College Digital Badge program, training students, managing events, leading grant implementation teams and co-chairing the QEP team.

An optimist at heart, Manna attributes her success to a year of saying “yes” to new opportunities — and to the guidance of professors and colleagues who supported her growth along the way. Those experiences shaped her belief in the power of mentorship and collaboration.

When she’s not growing the Marketable Skills initiative, Manna embraces her inner dilettante, enjoying many things such as sports, reading, LEGO, music and golf. She looks forward to teaching others how to help students confidently step onto their path to success.
