Speaker Profile: Shellye Lyons

Senior Manager, Real Estate & Lease Administration

Shellye Lyons is an authentic and empathetic leader who believes it’s never too late to invest in yourself. Returning to school after age 50 taught her that with faith, discipline and determination, anyone can redefine their story.

Lyons serves as Senior Manager, Real Estate & Lease Administration in the Office of Finance at Dallas College. She provides strategic leadership for lease administration, institutional real estate, occupancy management and partnership agreements, helping maximize college assets while ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and long-term stewardship. She also holds a Texas real estate license.

Inspired by her mother and grandmother and guided by her professors, Lyons discovered her passion for real estate and lifelong learning. Just as they encouraged her, she now finds joy in helping others recognize their potential and grow in confidence.

When she’s not developing real estate strategies or building relationships, you can find her spending time with her grandchildren or tapping into her creativity through writing, reading and playing the piano. She looks forward to encouraging others to embrace lifelong learning, lead with purpose, and recognize that their greatest chapter may still be ahead.
