Degrees and Certificates

​Length of time is based on catalog degree plans. Prerequisites may be required, which are not included in this estimate. For most programs, full-time student status is assumed, a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester.

 

Cost is based on tuition rates for program hours for Dallas County residents. Beginning in Fall 2020, the price of most required learning materials (books, software, supplies, etc.) will be included​ with the price of tuition. Find out about financial aid.


Transfer Information

Richland has the following transfer (articulation) agreements in place:

  • Associate in Science Degree With an Emphasis in Computer/Electrical Engineering, in conjunction with the University of North Texas to complete a bachelor’s of science degree in computer or electrical engineering
  • Associate in Sciences Degree With an Emphasis in Electrical Engineering, in conjunction with the University of Texas at Arlington to complete a bachelor’s of science degree
  • Associate in Sciences Degree with an Emphasis in Electronics Engineering, in conjunction with Texas A&M University- Station, to complete a bachelor’s of science degree in electronics engineering technology  
  • Associate in Sciences Degree with an Emphasis in Industrial Engineering, in conjunction with Texas A&M University-Commerce to complete a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering

Are you earning an associate degree in mechanical engineering? Students at Dallas College who are earning a transferrable associate degree in mechanical engineering now have more transfer choices. A new agreement is in place with participating Texas four-year institutions to seamlessly transfer into a bachelor’s degree program.

If you plan to earn a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, check with a member of the Engineering Technology or Engineering departments to discuss your transfer options.
