The guided pathway in Nursing – Field of Study will provide a foundation for you to move on toward a fulfilling nursing career. An Associate of Science (A.S.) degree with courses in this pathway prepares you to transfer to a university to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at a university, which opens the door to a career in research, case management, hospital administration, pharmaceutical sales and many more areas.

This pathway is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing Nursing. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an A.S. degree with a Field of Study in Nursing, which will increase your chances of transfer to bachelor's-level programs. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours (15 hours) required for graduation through instruction Dallas College. See the catalog for official degree requirements.

  2. Begin researching information at a university to pursue the bachelor's degree in Nursing.

  1. After reviewing your program of study, meet with your success coach to apply for the Associate of Science degree with the Nursing Field of Study.
  2. Sign up for commencement.
  3. Request final transcripts to be sent to the college or university to where you will transfer.
