The guided pathway in Mechanical Engineering, Field of Study is designed to meet the needs of students who plan to major in Engineering and transfer to a university. An Associate of Science Field of Study in Mechanical Engineering degree with courses in this pathway prepares you to transfer to a university to earn a bachelor's degree. This Guided Pathway map contains a selection of lower-division courses that are guaranteed by state law to transfer and apply to a degree program.
This pathway is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing Mechanical Engineering. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an A.S. Field of Study degree. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours (15 hours) required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. Courses that complete the degree are noted below. See the catalog for official degree requirements. This Field of Study degree in Mechanical Engineering does not complete the Core.
Visit http://www.dallascollege.edu/transfer and select “Transfer from Dallas College" to view more information about transferring to that institution. Speak with your success coach to choose courses that will help you to transfer to a specific university.
