This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing the Occupational Therapy-Occupational Therapy Assistant associate degree. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant. See catalog for official degree requirements. Mountain View's Occupational Therapy Assistant Program (OTA) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE). Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours (15 hours) required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. Visit the ACOTE website for more information.

The A.A.S. degree program in Occupational Therapy-Occupational Therapy Assistant is a five-semester, 60 credit-hour program leading to the Associate in Applied Sciences Degree. The program prepares graduates to be eligible to take the National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification examination to become licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. HUMANITIES/FINE ARTS ELECTIVE* This is a Core course.

BIOL 2402 – Anatomy and Physiology II Prior to registration you must complete BIOL 2401. This is a Core course.

PSYC 2314 – Lifespan Growth and Development This is a Core course.
