Theater students earned 17 awards at last week's Texas Community College Speech & Theatre Association Play Festival.
The Harvester Theatre Company staged "Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike," a Christopher Durang play exploring the relationships of three middle-age siblings. Drama professor Dusty Reasons Thomas directed.
"This year we had a cast and crew full of new theater students, and we received more awards than we have ever won in the past," Thomas said. "I am incredibly proud of the theater students and excited to see the fantastic work they are destined to do in the future at Eastfield College."
