New year. New holders of the crowns.
MVC's Spirit Week kicked off in grand fashion with our annual Mr. and Ms. MVC Pageant on Monday, September 24. A handful of candidates took center stage inside a packed Treetop Lounge as they answered questions about MVC's core values, showcased their unique talents during a five-minute entertainment portion, and explained why they would be an excellent ambassador for the college.
From poetry to dance moves, the seven dressed to impress contestants wowed the crowd, but in the end, the bedazzled crowns landed on the heads of Martin Mapa and Brittani Samuels. As Mr. and Ms. MVC, the two will represent the college at various events on campus and in the community. First up for these two, a date with the State of Fair Texas Opening Day Parade.
