El Centro College is excited announce Lisa Roark as the new chef for our El Centro College Cooks series at the Dallas Arboretum.

You can find Lisa at the Arboretum's A Tasteful Place, every Monday at 11 a.m. Admission to El Centro College Cooks is free with paid admission to the Arboretum.

About Lisa:
Lisa is passionate about teaching people how to grow and prepare nutrient-rich foods for themselves and their loved ones. She received certifications in both Urban Farming and Holistic Nutrition from the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, and currently attends culinary school at El Centro's Food and Hospitality Institute. Lisa’s Urban Farming certificate has an emphasis on permaculture, which focuses on the development of agricultural ecosystems intended to be sustainable and self-sufficient. Lisa plans to pair her culinary training with her urban farming and nutrition certifications to help others grow, cook, and know the nutritional value of foods. She is excited to share her knowledge with visitors of the Dallas Arboretum.
