DIFFA- Futuro

Though it was Spring Break for most at DCCCD, El Centro students were busy creating garments to be showcased at some significant events.

The DIFFA (Design Industry Foundation Fighting Aids) show, which benefits HIV/AIDS service organizations in North Texas, held its 30th annual show at the Omni Hotel, Saturday March 16. El Centro fashion design students created cone- like garments for the “Eye Ball” walk in this year’s “Futuro” themed show.

Students Sandra Davalos, Maysoon Alnawwas, Pujan Pradhan, Numa Limbu, Pramila Rauf, Mahima Thapa, Lauren Fallis, and Keven Hernandez created futuristic garments that walked in the show.

Eye Balls student models were: Camila Uriarte, Maria Murillo, and Karisme Lucas.

Backstage helpers: Yulissa Hernandez, Enelin Medrano, Arnulfo Villarreal, Lauren, Maysoon and Sandra.

Fashion Design Instructors: Maria Luna and Brenda Carlson assisted.

Nicolas Villalba, Fashion Design Adjunct designed and constructed the robot inspired dress with lights.
