Bits & Bites 2019, presented by El Centro’s Food and Hospitality Institute (FHI), will offer more than 30 tasty top chefs hosted at the Dallas Arboretum's beautiful food and sustainability-focused event space, A Tasteful Place, April 14 from 5-8 p.m.

This year, El Centro's Food and Hospitality Institute will celebrate 11 years of hosting Bits & Bites, an annual event for food lovers from across the metroplex who want to experience innovative, chef-curated bites and wine pairings. Bits & Bites 2019 will offer more than 30 top chefs and will be hosted at the Arboretum's beautiful food and sustainability-focused event space, A Tasteful Place, April 14 from 5-8 p.m.

The FHI is proud to recognize Mr. Doug Brooks, former Chairman and CEO of Brinker International, as the Bits and Bites 2019 Honoree.

From his early days at the University of Houston, to his first job as a manager trainee at the second Chili’s location, to his days leading the Brinker International family of restaurants, Doug’s influence as an innovator of the casual dining industry in the United States speaks for itself. Doug has been on the leading edge of our industry for many years and has touched scores of lives in a meaningful and impactful way. Doug is well respected beyond measure not only in the restaurant industry but across many communities for the work he continues to do with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Doug Brooks has created a legacy for his name and his demeanor and humble spirit make his accomplishments even more inspirational.
