Through the American Library Association Adopt-a-Library Program, the Dallas County Community College Libraries have adopted Delgado Community College in New Orleans and SOWELA Technical Community College in Lake Charles, La., to help rebuild their library collections after the damage done by the hurricanes. Both libraries suffered extensive damage to their book and journal collections. Although funds for building repairs have been made available, there are no funds for materials.
