The Et Cetera student newspaper staff is working on the fifth annual Eastfield Experience, a guide to college by students for students, which publishes in July.

This publication includes tips and information for new students. It is distributed on campus at registration and orientation, and Eastfield's recruiters take it off-campus to college fairs and high schools.

Here's last year's issue.

The staff needs your help to make this guide a success.

1. Do you have suggestions for content?

What do you think we should include? Do you know of a service, program, class or activity that doesn't get much attention?  What about something new for fall that hasn't been publicized? Do you have advice that in your experience has proven helpful to first-time college students? What classes should be featured on the Unique Courses page?

Email your tips to etc4640@dcccd.edu.

2. Would you like to advertise your division, program or classes?

  1. Email sarahsheldon@dcccd.edu for rate information and to place your reservation.
  2. Submit a graphics request to Marketing & Creative Services right away so that they can create an ad or alter an existing flier to fit the publication's space. They need 20 business days to create your ad artwork. New Creative Services form: eastfieldcollege.edu/creative
  3. Coordinate with your department's budget director on payment details. Money must be transferred into account 23961, which is for advertising purchases.
  4. Once the Experience is published in mid-July, the Business Office will transfer the money from your account to the Et Cetera.
