On Tuesday, February 5, MVC will host its fifth annual TEDx Conference. A TEDx event is a local gathering where guest speakers present ideas meant to spark conversations in the community. The speakers, who have auditioned and prepared presentations ranging from 6-18 minutes long, tell their stories while standing on the signature red carpet.

The evening will be hosted by WFAA-TV traffic reporter and anchor Demetria Obilor. The local television media star brings her vibrant personality and substantial social media presence to campus as our distinguished master of ceremonies.

When it comes to the lineup of speakers, the DCCCD family is well represented. MVC professor Courtney Brazile, MVC administrator Jarred Davis, Brookhaven professor Dr. Hurshel B. Burton III, and Richland professor Dr. Erin L. Kelley will all command the red carpet.
