Dozens of Dallas-area companies are mobilizing recruiters for the 10th annual MVC Community Job Fair. Employers that are currently hiring will not only be accepting resumes at Mountain View College on Wednesday, October 17, they will also be hiring on the spot in some cases. Representatives from job fair Gold Sponsor, UPS, are hoping to meet qualified candidates at MVC as the company plans to immediately fill 600 positions for a new facility. This event is a fantastic opportunity for anyone in the community to network with potential employers. It also empowers Mountain View College students who are preparing to graduate, giving them a chance to learn about job openings in the industries in which they are interested and potentially obtaining employment.
Other participating companies include: FedEx, Oncor, Texas Department of Public Safety, Macy's, Amazon, City of Grand Prairie, City of Dallas, Dallas Police Department, Child Care Careers.
The MVC Community Job Fair runs from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. October 17.
