Calling all girls entering grades 9-12 for the 2020-1021 school year with an interest in science, technology, engineering and math. You can attend a free, two-week STEM Summer Camp, July 6-16.
The program is designed to inspire underrepresented women to reach their full potential in STEM through peer and professional mentorship, skill building, educational planning, networking and career exploration. Attendees participate in university and industry tours, meet engaging speakers and explore hands-on STEM activities.
- Scanning electron microscope (SEM) experiments
- Animal dissections
- Visit from Technicbots, where students will build their own robots
- Meet with scientists from UT Southwestern and UT Arlington
- ATI physical therapist speaker
- Activities with National Society of Black Engineers
- Activities with the Fort Worth Zoo
The camp runs for two weeks, Monday – Thursday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Lunch will not be provided. Students must bring their own sack lunch, snack and beverage to camp each day.
Seating is limited and the deadline to register is June 13. Registration is open Monday – Thursday from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on campus in Bldg. S, Room S052 or by phone at 972-860-4715.

All registered students and parents are required to attend the mandatory orientation at Brookhaven College, June 25 at 6 p.m. in Bldg. X, Room X2023.
