A new service, “My Messages,” will end any worries you might have about missing important e-mails from your college and Dallas County Community College District.

My Messages is a new eConnect feature designed to supplement DCCCD’s e-mail communications through the e-mail address you have provided us.

My Messages will ensure that you get a copy of official e-mails, but it’s still important for you to update your e-mail address whenever it changes. Why? Because not all of your e-mails will be sent through My Messages, and you’ll still want to receive copies of the ones that aren’t. You may update that e-mail address on eConnect’s “Change E-Mail Address” feature, or contact your Admissions/Registrar’s Office or Continuing Education Office.

Now that My Messages is “live,” a message will be sent to the e-mail address listed in your official record, and the same message will be sent to your eConnect account through My Messages.

Here’s how to find My Messages:

  1. Go to eConnect
  2. Select the menu you need (such as “Current Credit Student Menu” or “Continuing Education/Workforce Training Student Menu”)
  3. Log in with your student ID number and password
  4. Select “My Messages” (located under “My Personal Information”)

It’s that simple. You can read new messages, view the ones you’ve already seen, plus delete and “undelete” your messages. You should know, however, that you will not be able to send messages.
