If you’ve shown courage and perseverance in your life, you may be eligible for a DCCCD scholarship. Are you an outstanding leader with a high GPA? There are two other scholarship that might be a perfect fit for you.

The DCCCD Foundation offers approximately 250 scholarships, with many different criteria. Applications for the 2012-2013 academic year are due this spring — so if you’re thinking of applying, now is the time! Visit the DCCCD Foundation scholarships Web page for more information about available scholarships and how to apply.

Here are three featured DCCCD scholarships with an application deadline the first week in April:

  • Erin Tierney Kramp Encouragement Scholarship Program — This program awards scholarships to students based upon their courage and perseverance in the face of adversity.

  • LeCroy Scholars Program — Outstanding leadership and scholarship are two of the hallmarks of Dr. Jan LeCroy’s tenure as DCCCD chancellor and are the main requirements of this scholarship.

  • Muse Scholars Program — Community and business leaders John and Lyn Muse created this scholarship program to recognize students demonstrating leadership, a deep work ethic and focused educational direction.

All scholarships above, as well as several other DCCCD Foundation scholarships, require you to write essays and gather letters of recommendation. So don’t wait — apply today!
