Theatre Brookhaven brings an American classic to the stage with John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, March 2-12 at Brookhaven College.

George and Lennie are iconic characters, bound by friendship and shared hardship but torn apart by tragedy. As homeless farm laborers the pair are used to hardship, so a new job seems like a great opportunity. Almost from the beginning fate works against them and circumstances force them into acts of both brutality and mercy.

Directed by Darise Error, theater professor, the production is available by special permission of Dramatists Play Service, Inc. The production may not be suitable for all audience as the production includes strong language and racial slurs.

Admission to the show is free, but guests are encouraged to reserve a seat in advance at http://www1.dcccd.edu/bhc/bcsa-tickets/. Performances are March 2-4 and 9-11 at 8 p.m. and March 5 and 12 at 2:30 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre, Bldg. C.
