El Centro College Art Students Create Artwork Inspired by “CIRCUS 1903”

(May 16, 2017) Dallas, TX – Twelve El Centro College Art students, under the direction of Omar Hernandez (Art Program Coordinator), designed 12 framed art pieces using various mediums that will be on display during the entire run of CIRCUS 1903. Their assignment was to create a symbolic motif/logo/design based on the musical/performance Circus 1903. Using the techniques, and lessons from the class along with additional techniques, create a digital design that can either, directly reference:
  • the characters
  • music
  • history
  • style
  • concepts of the performance

Students whose artwork is featured in the display are: Francisco Gonzales, Marco Sanchez, Alejandro Subialdea, Eduardo Bermudez, Daniel Castillo, Hunter Cave, Stephanie Hastings, Alexis Jimenez, Natalie Kessel, Christopher Martinez, Luis Morales and Jerry Sharp.

The Art Department of El Centro College provides a wide range of courses including studio and lecture classes.
