(DALLAS) – The system office of marketing and communications for Dallas County Community Colleges has earned several national honors for its recent marketing efforts. The system office took two top honors from the National Council of Marketing and Public Relations during the organization’s annual conference in March: a gold Paragon Award for a television advertising campaign series titled “It All Begins Here” and a gold Paragon Award in the category of best media success story for the “Seven Colleges, Seven Success Stories” news campaign. The NCMPR awards program honors work done by public relations and marketing professionals at two-year community and technical colleges.

In addition, the DCCC office of marketing and communications also received two Silver Awards in the 19th annual national competition sponsored by the Admissions Marketing Report – one for the system’s Spanish-language television series, “Todo Comienza Aqui,” and one for its “Seven Colleges, Seven Success Stories” campaign and media relations efforts. Staff members also received a Merit Award for the television advertising series “It All Begins Here.” Admissions Marketing Report draws entries from two- and four-year colleges and universities.

North Lake College, one of seven institutions in DCCC’s system, also received a gold Paragon Award from NCMPR for its entry Duck Soup, the college’s literary and art magazine, and two Silver Awards for its new Web site design and a dance poster.
