Eastfield Newspaper Nominated for National Award
The
Et Cetera, Eastfield's student newspaper, is a finalist for the
national Pacemaker Award, the highest honor for college media
organizations.
Winners will be announced Oct. 28 during the National College Media Convention in Dallas.
The
Et Cetera won Pacemakers, awarded by the Associated Collegiate Press,
in 2014 and 2011 and was nominated in 2015, 2012, 2000 and 1999.
Former Et Cetera staffers Emylee Lucas and David Sanchez, both Eastfield graduates, are nominated for individual national awards from the College Media Association.
Lucas
is up for Best Advertisement, Best Comic Strip and Best Newspaper
Entertainment Page for her graphic design work. Sanchez was nominated
for Best Sports Feature Photo.
Those winners will also be announced at the Dallas convention.
