Eastfield College's student media team from The Et Cetera and The Alternative won 31 awards this weekend at the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association convention in Dallas. Eleven students attended workshops and competed in live journalism contests.
Three students placed in the live contests, in which they competed against student journalists from two-year and four-year schools across the state. The other awards are for work published in 2016.
