The staff of the Et Cetera student newspaper won a Pacemaker Award
and several indvidual honors at the National College Media Convention
in Dallas.

The Et Cetera student newspaper has won the national Pacemaker Award, the highest honor for college media organizations.

The award, which honored work published in the 2016-17 academic year, was announced Oct. 28 at the National College Media Convention in Dallas. David Silva, former Et Cetera editor in chief, accepted the award.

The Et Cetera won Pacemakers, awarded by the Associated Collegiate Press, in 2014 and 2011 and was nominated in 2015, 2012, 2000 and 1999.

Staffers also received individual national awards from ACP and the College Media Association. The individual contests place two-year and four-year schools in the same category, so these awards are outstanding achievements for our students.
