EVENT - Published: Thursday, 11 May 2017

Sincere congratulations are in order for all of you for making it through this semester. Maybe you’ve got a final or two left to take, but for all intents and purposes, you’ve made it and that’s something to be proud of.

Now what? Maybe you’re starting Maymester at the end of this week or maybe you’re going to start your summer class(es) in June.

Or maybe you’re graduating and it’s time to reap the fruits of your labor. If that’s the case, well done! Earning your degree is no small feat and you’ve overcome a lot of obstacles and adversity to get here.

So let’s kick off the celebration witht a quick graduation interlude:

After you’ve played that 23 times and you’ve finished reminiscing about how you and a few of your classmates will be friends forever, let’s start thinking about your graduation party.

I’m sure a lot of you have parties and celebrations planned with family and friends, and now you can add the inaugural DCCCD GradFest to the list!

GradFest, which takes place next Friday, May 19 at Edison’s Dallas, is the DCCCD’s first district-wide graduation celebration.

And it’s FREE!

GradFest is intended for those who graduated from any DCCCD school in fall 2016, spring 2017 or who will graduate this summer, as well as DCCCD alumni and friends. The event is limited to the first 800 people who register.

So what can you expect at GradFest? There will be free food, giveaways, a live DJ, a dance contest, a lip sync battle and so much more. All you have to do is register, then show up May 19 and enjoy yourselves!

And if you’re within a year of graduating, keep your eyes on the prize and start getting ready super early for GradFest 2018!
