You’re an online student, but that doesn’t mean you have to be excluded from events at DCCCD campuses and this is a pretty cool one.

On Thursday, Jan. 26, Richland College Garland Campus will host “Community Connections”, where you can speak with representatives from government offices and area nonprofit organizations.

Among others, representatives from the following organizations will be in attendance:

  • Anti-Bullying Teen Rough-Ing Foundation
  • Child Care Group
  • Friendship House
  • Galaxy Counseling Center
  • Garland Fair Housing Services
  • Goodwill Industries of Dallas
  • Life Message
  • Medicaid (Maximus)
  • Mosaic Family Services
  • North Texas Job Corps
  • Our Friends Place
  • Parkland Community Health Plan
  • Superior Health Plan
  • The Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse
  • The Warren Center
  • Workforce Solutions of Greater Dallas
  • Workforce Solutions Vocational Rehabilitation Services
  • AAA Texas
  • BBVA Compass
  • Legacy Dental

Come by to find out what resources are available in your community, how to qualify for assistance, how you can give back and other volunteer opportunities are out there.

If you’re in the area and you have some free time between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., this could be a wonderful chance for you to give back to your community and find out how your community can help you out.

We hope to see you there!
