Get This Money (In The Form of Scholarships) Now

You’ve got a lot on your plate, but here’s some good news for you: there are three scholarships available to you in myScholarships for 2017!

Applications are due March 31, so you’ve got a full month to get everything in order. Get those procrastination caps on!

(Please don’t do that. It’s tempting, but it’s not that difficult to fill out a few online applications and knock out a few of these essay questions. Also, you’re better than that.)

To be considered eligible for any of these three scholarships, you need to a.) be a high school senior who will graduate this spring (probably not) or b.) be a current DCCCD student (probably!).

Check these out:

• The Erin Tierney Kramp Encouragement Endowed Scholarship: Besides your standard scholarship application stuff, you’ll have to answer three essay questions.
• The LeCroy Scholars Endowed Scholarship: For the LeCroy scholarship, you’ll have to answer four essay questions.
• The Muse Scholarship Program: You’ll never guess what you have to do for this scholarship. Fill out an application and answer a couple of essay questions! Exciting stuff, I know. On the plus side, there are only two essay questions for this scholarship.

All the writing might seem intimidating. But remember, we already talked about this. Don’t let a little bit of writing discourage you from getting this money.

Each scholarship is worth full tuition and textbook costs for up to six consecutive semesters. You’ll also have the opportunity at some mentorship. So good luck and get that money.

And don’t touch that procrastination cap.
