DALLAS—Theatre Brookhaven presents "Jesus Christ Superstar" July 12-22 in the Brookhaven College Performance Hall.

This legendary rock opera spans the last week in the earthly life of Jesus Christ. Relationships with Judas Iscariot and Mary Magdalene are forefront in the story which explores betrayal, conflict and acceptance in the days leading up to the crucifixion.

"As written, the show is a beautiful, though secular, interpretation of people and events, but in our production, I hope to infuse the secular with the spiritual," said Darise H. Error, director.

The Brookhaven presentation features an energetic, talented, diverse cast of actors, singers and dancers assembled by music director, Hans Grim, and choreographer, Micki Saba.

Written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, "Jesus Christ Superstar" was originally released as an album in 1970, and the stage production debuted on Broadway in 1971.

"I have wanted to do this show for about 30 years, and I am excited to finally be bringing it to the stage," Error said.

Plan now to attend this captivating Theatre Brookhaven production of "Jesus Christ Superstar." Performances are scheduled July 12-14 and 19-21 at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees July 15 and 22 at 2:30 p.m.
