DALLAS—Thomas Jefferson P-TECH Early College High School students were treated to kudos and cupcakes Jan. 26 at an awards ceremony celebrating their fall semester achievements. Thirty business administrative students received their Business Trainee I Skills Achievement certificates at the event held at Thomas Jefferson High School.

Erica Wilson, early college dual credit coordinator, said she plans to hold the awards event each semester students earn a certificate as a way to recognize their success and keep them motivated as they work toward an associate degree.

Staff from Brookhaven College and Thomas Jefferson awarded the certificates and shared words of encouragement with the students.

Dr. Thom D. Chesney, Brookhaven College president, described the event as praiseworthy and inspiring, exemplifying Brookhaven College core values - Learning, Excellence, Service, Diversity and Integrity.
